Nexo wanted an advertising platform that could meet their business needs while ensuring their customers’ personal information was secure. Traditional advertising sends a lot of personal information to advertisers, ad exchanges, and other entities in order to target ads. This information can be sensitive and given Nexo’s privacy-savvy user base and community, they needed an advertising platform that offered privacy-respecting ads to an audience that had opted-in to view them.
Nexo chose Brave User Ads because of its capability to advertise to a very specific audience which immediately resulted in a 20% cost-saving in customer acquisition cost over traditional advertising channels. When setting up their campaign, Nexo had the opportunity to assign content categories (200+ IAB-defined categories) to their campaign for interest and contextual alignment. They did not want to overwhelm users with unnecessary content, but carefully curated high impact messaging that captured the attention of hundreds of thousands of Brave users.
Nexo also ran a “Campaign with a Cause” using Brave’s Sponsored Image to give millions of Brave users the opportunity to donate their Basic Attention Token (BAT), to Save the Children. The #SaveWithCrypto campaign, in partnership with The Giving Block and the Nexo community, raised $25,000 USD to help feed hungry children. The Sponsored Image, along with a co-branded social media campaign gave Nexo and Save the Children the visibility they needed to make an impact on thousands of children.
