Brave Announces Strategic Web3 Gaming Partnership With XBorg

Brave and XBorg combine forces to drive the growth of Web3 esports gaming and provide a platform to showcase Web3 players.

22nd February 2023 - Brave Software, maker of the privacy-preserving Brave browser, has announced a one-year strategic partnership with XBorg, a leading Web3 esports organization. This partnership involves a series of collaborations for gamers and Brave users, which may include, among other things, live community-driven events between the XBorg, gaming and Basic Attention Token (BAT) communities, Basic Attention Token (BAT) gaming and tournament activations, NFT mints, gaming content creation, and tournaments for gamers of all levels.

XBorg boasts the #1 ranked ev.io team, a browser-based FPS multiplayer game. Brave and XBorg will use in-person and online gaming events throughout 2023 to create content that highlights Web3 gaming, esports, and its players. Content to look forward to includes LAN vlogs, game tutorials, and exclusive interviews with XBorg professional players and content creators. The Brave branded XBorg 2023 Pro Kit Jersey will be released in April, and will be available in the SwissBorg online store.

Brave is also the title sponsor for XBorg’s Xtreme Championship Series. The four-month-long, five-game tournament series runs from March 6 until July 23, 2023, and has a dedicated prize pool of $100,000. In addition, the entire series will stream live for viewers on XBorg’s official Twitch channel. Tournaments will include BAT activations for users of Brave Wallet and other Web3 wallets.

XBorg is producing a 15-episode docu-series called Becoming A Legend, which will air throughout the tournament on XBorg’s YouTube channel. It will feature exclusive interviews with players, team owners, and game developers, as well as matchday highlights and all the behind-the-scenes Xtreme Championship Series drama. Becoming A Legend will shine a light on the backstories and journeys of key Web3 players and games in the industry.

Please note that all monthly qualifiers are capped at a certain number of teams/players. Therefore, you are advised to sign up for all three qualifiers at once to guarantee your spot in the tournament and increase your chances of qualifying for the Championship month (each of the 5 games will have 3 monthly qualifiers and then one championship weekend).
