InnoGame’s Challenge

The Direct Partnerships team at Innogames—Germany’s leading developer and publisher of mobile and online games was increasingly focused on expanding their user base and reaching gamers through all possible marketing channels. Gamers often use ad blockers, so reaching them via traditional advertising channels and programmatic ads wasn’t achieving the maximum results the company wanted. InnoGames was looking to diversify their marketing mix, and to work with an ads platform that had direct inventory that they could easily test and scale with. They wanted to reach high quality users within their key demographic, and to create long term user engagement.

Solution

InnoGames selected Push Notification Ads for their cam-paign. Push Notification Ads are text-based ads that include the company’s name, a call to action, and a click-through URL. With an average CTR of 8%, Push Notification Ads are ideal for driving quality site traffic and user acquisition. Based on optedin user research, 50% of Brave users consider themselves gamers, and 75% of them are technology enthusiasts. This audience was the right demographic for Innogames, and Brave’s contextual base targeting further allowed them to get specific with their messaging and reach the audience they wanted. Innogames saw an impressive CTR of 13.6% within the first month of running the campaign, which is exponentially higher than the industry average. Registrations continued to increase, and CPA reduced by 20% across all markets. These results, plus Brave’s privacy respecting advertising model, drove Innogames to launch another game to the Brave Ads platform.

Brave’s unique advertising platform and tech-savvy audience helped us reach a new potential target market at scale for the Forge of Empires game. After the success of our initial campaigns, we decided to promote another product to a different target audience using Brave’s content categories. We are now scaling up our investment due to positive performance. We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to testing new ad opportunities with Brave.
